A Journey of Deep Inner Cleansing, Forgiveness, and Transformation.
Sonal Shahir, USA, July 2026
I would like to share my spiritual journey that unfolded over the course of eight months—a journey of deep cleansing, healing, forgiveness, and inner transformation.
For many months, I carried a strong longing to become empty within. I felt that true spiritual growth required releasing the layers of stored impressions, fears, insecurities, and emotional burdens accumulated through life’s experiences.
These impressions, whether from this lifetime or carried from deeper layers of consciousness, often shape our thoughts, reactions, relationships, and experiences. This inner longing eventually became a sincere prayer. My journey took a significant turn when I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the Dussehra Festival at MCB Dugspur,Virginia on 2nd October2025.Through the grace of Baba and Mohanji, devotees were given the rare opportunity to bathe Baba. When I heard the announcement, something deep within me awakened. As I washed Baba’s feet, I prayed with all my heart – “Please cleanse me completely from within so that I may love You and Mohanji deeply and unconditionally.”
As I always believed to love God truly and unconditionally,a person’s inner self must be cleansed and purified. I knew there were many impressions and emotional burdens still residing inside me that needed to be released. After returning home, I felt an overwhelming urge to chant the Mohanji Gayatri Mantra. For seven consecutive days, I chanted with intensity and devotion, repeating the mantra nearly 500 times each day. I did not fully understand what was unfolding, but I trusted the process.
Soon afterward, a Mai-Tri practitioner, Himali, contacted me and offered two Mai-Tri sessions as part of her Level 2 Mai-Tri Sadhana. I gladly accepted. Those sessions marked the beginning of a profound shift within me.
The guidance I received was practical, compassionate, and transformative. As I followed it, I began noticing significant changes in my life. I later received three additional Mai-Tri sessions while holding the same intention—to become empty within and release whatever was ready to leave. These were among the most intense Mai-Tri sessions I have ever experienced.
What followed was a powerful process of release. Long-held fears, insecurities, painful memories, and emotional burdens began surfacing and leaving my system. Much of this release occurred through dreams. Every morning, I would wake up amazed at the depth of what had been processed overnight. These were not ordinary dreams; they felt like opportunities to witness and release deeply stored impressions. In one of my earliest dreams, I was shown that I would be touching some of my deepest inner wounds and stored impressions. As the cleansing continued, I realized how much I had been carrying within without even being aware of it. The process seemed to reach beyond the experiences of this lifetime, touching deeper layers of consciousness.
Around the same time, Mohanji introduced the Relationship Alignment Process with Tina and the Conscious Cleansing Process. I felt guided to apply these practices to several important relationships in my life. The results were remarkable. In some relationships, misunderstandings dissolved, greater harmony emerged, and a deeper sense of compassion developed. In other situations, the process taught me valuable lessons about acceptance and surrender. I came to understand that healing is not only dependent on our willingness but also on the readiness of others involved.
One of the greatest lessons I learned during this period was the power of forgiveness.
Some relationships enter our lives not to remain forever, but to teach us lessons, strengthen our character, and help us grow spiritually. Through forgiveness, letting go, and acceptance, we create space for inner freedom and peace.
For nearly eight months, despite my strong desire to attend MCB events, opportunities did not arise. Looking back, I feel that Baba was guiding me to remain focused on the cleansing process I had prayed for. The journey required my full attention and commitment . During that period, I was also participating in the Mai-Tri Intensive Movement, exchanging sessions with several practitioners and receiving continuous support and guidance. The cleansing process continued to deepen.
Eventually, I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the Kirtan Festival at MCB on 13th June 2026..Although I was still moving through emotional layers of release, I felt immense gratitude to be there. While at MCB, I had the opportunity to sit in the Baba temple in the presence of Baba and Mohanji. At that moment, I felt overwhelming gratitude for everything they had been doing for me throughout those months. Although the process had often been emotionally challenging and painful, I could clearly see that it was a tremendous blessing. I had also been preparing inwardly for the Kailash pilgrimage. Mohanji often speaks about the importance of becoming empty before approaching Kailash. Through this cleansing journey, I began to understand the deeper meaning of that teaching.
With Baba’s blessings, I was given another opportunity to participate in the Conscious Cleansing Process with Mohanji Acharya Lata Ganesh before returning home. This experience proved to be exactly what I needed at that stage of my journey. Attending the process at MCB in the Satsang hall made it especially powerful. This time, the process felt deeply effective and transformative. For the first time, it became genuinely easy for me to forgive—not only other people but also myself. I found myself forgiving the situations I had gone through and the people who had caused me pain, knowingly or unknowingly. Layers of resentment and emotional heaviness simply began to dissolve. At the conclusion of the process,an insight came from Mohanji that everything can be left at Baba’s feet. In that simple understanding, I found a profound sense of freedom. I realized that forgiveness is not about carrying the burden of the past; it is about surrendering it completely and remaining light within. Latadidi also offered guidance that helped me understand forgiveness from a new perspective. Her words made it easier for me to release lingering pain without creating further suffering within myself.
As the process came to completion, I felt something I had not experienced in a long time—lightness.
The heaviness I had carried for months had significantly diminished. The fears, insecurities, emotional burdens, and painful impressions that had surfaced throughout the journey had gradually been transformed through grace, awareness, forgiveness, and surrender. Today, when I reflect on this journey, I feel immense gratitude. What began as a simple prayer for purification became a profound process of healing, self-discovery, forgiveness, and transformation. I learned that cleansing is not always comfortable. It often requires courage to face what has been hidden within us. Yet I also learned that every layer released creates more space for peace, love, acceptance, and freedom. Most importantly, I learned that when we sincerely pray for inner transformation and remain open to divine guidance, life brings exactly the people, processes, and experiences needed for our growth.
I am deeply grateful to Baba, Mohanji, Himali, Latadidi, Tina, the Mai-Tri family, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey. I hope, with Baba’s blessings, I continue to unburden myself and gradually reach a state of emptiness—free from unnecessary attachments, worries, and ego. Today, I feel lighter, more peaceful, and deeply grateful, having learned to leave everything at Baba’s feet.
Jai Baba. Jai Mohanji.
